excuse any ramblings i have since i'm almost a bottle of wine deep. let's talk about the OSU vs MSU game. We inherently have a disadvantage since we have many OSU rejects and have lost to them the last 6 or 7 years in a row. they come into our hosue and immediately put 28 points on the board to our 0. it seems obvious our defense isn't spectacular, in fact compared to Purdue, since Purdue didn't let OSU score an offensive touchdown last week, we are below average. AND WE CAN'T TACKLE. Even with that, at 21-0 we should've recovered a fumble on their 4 yard line, but our special teams were greedy and they tried to pick it up and run, which honestly i would've done the same thing. but being a fan, it's frustrating. i don't understand why we didn't follow the "3 yards and cloud of dust" strategy, we immediately went into a no-back shotgun spread formation, javon doesn't have many carries at all. we didn't commit to what we have been so successful at. i do understand that we tried to switch it up because of OSU's intimidating offense, and if they loaded 8 in the box, we wouldn't be successful at all ie indiana, iowa, northwestern. we did score on our first drive after the half, and now we stopped them so we have hope, as long as we don't get embarrassed and we beat scUM next week, and hold our own against penn state which scUM is actually beating them right now, it'll be a successful season.
